Taxonomy and Biology

Adult length: 22mm

Description

Head and body dorsum, flanks, head and body ventral surface, arms and legs are red to reddish brown with moderately large, rounded white spots. Fingers and toes are white, with or without some red to reddish brown spotting.

Habitat

Dry scrub forest at elevations of between about 600 to 1200 metres.

Habits

Diurnal and mainly arboreal frog that is often found amongst the leaves of the spiny bromeliads about 5 to 10 metres above ground.

Prey

Feeds mainly on ants and springtails
