Taxonomy and Biology

Adult length: 14mm

Description

Head dorsum and all but the posterior portion of the dorsal surface is bright orange ( occasionally reddish ). Chin has a bright orange spot. All remaining surfaces are reticulated with black ( often moderately large, rounded and well defined ) spots separated by pale blue or pale green lines

Habitat

Tropical rainforest at elevations between about 400 and 800 metres.

Habits

Diurnal and arboreal frog usually found between 2 and 6 metres above the ground in trees, bromeliads and vines.

Prey

Feeds mainly on ants.
