Taxonomy and Biology

Adult length: 16mm

Description

Head dorsum, dorsal surface of body and flanks are uniform dark brown to almost black. Head venter and ventral surface body colour is uniform dark brown to blackish brown. Arms, legs, fingers and toes are uniform dark brown to almost black except for a bright orange flash marking at the base of each arm and leg.

Habitat

Cloud forest at an elevation of about 1700 metres.

Habits

Diurnal and terrestrial frog that inhabits the forest floor leaf litter and ground living bromeliads.
