Taxonomy and Biology

Adult length: 20mm

Description

Head and body dorsum, flanks, arms, legs, head and body ventral surface is bronze brown to dark brown or black with irregularly scattered, round, yellow spots. Spots tend to be more numerous on the ventral surface.

Habitat

Present in coastal lowland rainforest but more abundant in undisturbed dense cloud forest at an elevation of about 1100 to 1300 metres.

Habits

Diurnal and mainly arboreal frog often found among bromeliad funnels most often above 10 metres from ground level.
