Adult length: 15mm

Description

Head and body dorsum is black with 3 distinct , narrow, yellow stripes. The vertebral stripe extends from over the snout to the anal region. The dorsolateral stripes commence as a transverse stripe anterior to the eyes ( intersects the vertebral stripe, pass over the eyes and extends posteriorly for the length of the body. A lower flank, yellow stripe extends from the snout and extends to the posterior body. A bright yellow patch is present at the base of the arms and legs and is confluent with the lower flank stripe. Arms and legs are covered with rounded black spots on a blue or bluish green reticulation. Head venter, throat is yellow mottled with black. Anterior ventral surface is white mottled with black and posterior ventral surface is yellow mottled with black.

Habitat

Elevations of between about 200 and 400 metres in tropical lowland rainforest.

Habits

Diurnal and arboreal frog that is most often found amongst bromeliad funnels.
