Taxonomy and Biology

Adult length: 19mm

Description

Entire dorsal surface, flanks and ventral surface colour is uniform yellow, orange or red ( including legs, arms, fingers, toes, soles and palms ) with a red calf spot which is most distinct in the more yellowish or orange coloured specimens. Ventral surface colour is generally slightly paler than dorsum.

Habitat

Humid montane forest at elevations above about 900 metres.

Habits

Diurnal and terrestrial frog.

Prey

Feeds mainly on ants and termites.
