Adult length: 20mm

Description

Dorsal head and body surface colour is greenish yellow or lemon yellow to dirty yellow or yellowish brown sometimes with a suffusion of reddish brown posteriorly. Flanks are black and the border between dorsum and flanks is sharply defined. A white to blue labial line is present on the upper lip and extends to the arm. Ventral surface colour is black with blue spotting or mottling. Throat is mainly blue with some black spotting. Legs are usually bright blue to bluish grey sometimes with yellow spots or brown markings but some specimens are brown with blue on the rear thigh and calf. Fingers and toes are blue.

Habitat

Tropical dry to tropical moist baobab forest

Habits

Diurnal and terrestrial frog.

Prey

Feeds mainly on ants and termites.
