Adult length: 19mm

Description

Dorsal head and body surface colour is dark grey, greyish brown or brown sometimes with a faint paler mid-dorsal line on the body. Flanks and head laterally are black with the border between dorsum and flanks weakly defined. There is no pale labial line. Ventral surface colour is black with large pale blue spots. Throat is black with some pale blue spotting which forms a semicircular band ( sometimes very broad ) along the lower lip. Upper arm is yellow with the lower arm brown. Upper hind legs are yellow above with brown tibia and tarsus. Fingers and toes are brown. Ventral surface of legs are orange or orange brown. Palms and soles are usually black.

Habitat

Tropical rainforest.

Habits

Diurnal and terrestrial frog.

Prey

Feeds mainly on ants and termites.
